A Little Bit About Me:
I have over 30 years of experience working with individuals, small companies and corporations. This variety of working environments has helped me gain a solid understanding of how to approach goal setting and balance to target life's ever changing situations. Change is not easy and life can throw you some serious curve balls but with a desire to change and support to help you along the way you can constantly improve.
In 2012 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and I am happy to report that thus far all is well. This major life experience caused me to look at what is most important to me and to realign my life. I had spent most of my career to that point working with individuals and teams to make them more productive in their specific roles at a company. While this was very rewarding I decided I would gain more satisfaction working with people one on one. This allows us to focus on your overall life balance, goals, self confidence, etc.
In this time of change I also followed my own advice and began to work a little less, spend more time with family and friends, focus on quality of life and to enjoy the journey.
Increasingly people are spending more and more time indoors and engaged on devices. These devices can certainly make life easier and let's face it I rely on them to have you read this message :) However, it can be very unhealthy and you need to take time to disengage and spend some time just for you. It is not about giving up your phone....it is about finding a balance in your day to day life.
My family and I share a love for nature and spending time outside is a great way to reduce stress. I like to build some time in the coaching process to focus on relaxing outdoors…..even just turning off your phone and enjoying a quiet coffee in the yard can make a big difference in your day. Learn a new skill, take up a new sport, go for a hike, paddle a canoe, anything to get a bit of a boost from nature and even to gain some self confidence along the way.
As a coach I like to take a relaxed conversational approach to helping guide you towards your goals. There will be tough conversations, lighthearted chats and everything in between, that is how we will help you find balance, motivation and the confidence to move forward.

In the Regina area, I partner with local gear supply and rental stores to make it easy for you to get outside. For remote clients we can work together to get you ready to head outside. Turn off the TV, shut down the computer, put your phone on silent and take some time outside just for you.
A life coach can keep you accountable. If you give up before you reach your goals, or you downplay the importance of them, I can be there to remind you why you embarked on the journey in the first place and help you stay motivated.

A Life Coach is someone who is there to support, encourage, challenge and motivate you to achieve your goals. A coach is a good active listener that can pick up on what you are really thinking and will help you to take actions to move yourself towards your goals. They will celebrate your successes, help you discover how to overcome obstacles, identify your strengths and weaknesses, and enable you to move forward at a far greater pace than you could achieve on your own, with the ultimate aim of you achieving your goals and discovering a much happier life.
With a life coach you have someone that is solely dedicated to you and the achievement of your goals. They are non-judgemental, supportive, encouraging and motivating. They keep you moving forward in the right direction. They will enable you to get to where you want to be in life, much faster than you could on your own.
Every type of individual can benefit from coaching. The only traits these people have in common is the desire to change part of their life so they are happier.
During each session we will recap the last session and look at general progress and successes. We will then set a goal for today, to clearly define what you want to achieve in the day’s session and how to build on long term goals. Then we can look at where you are with respect to your short and long term goals. We will discuss what we have tried; what has worked and any obstacles you have come across along the way. We then explore possible options in working to achieve your goals. Lastly we will review that days sessions and look at what actions you want to set for yourself to move forward.
Coaching is a very interactive experience where together we work to discover your goals and then building towards a more balanced fulfilled life.
The time that your coaching process will take depends on the complexity of your goals and your commitment and openness to your process.
In the majority of cases the coaching will take place over the phone, with the client phoning the coach at the scheduled time. You will need a quiet room with no distractions where you can totally focus on the conversation. Video chat sessions are possible if you prefer this option.
Life Coaching sessions are approximately 45 minutes. Normally I schedule sessions three weeks in a row and then take one week off.
